Wishlist Share

Course Info

Explore clinical reasoning and collaborative practice across neurological rehabilitation, progressive neurological conditions and complex communication.

This course presents a systematic approach to assessment, goal setting and treatment planning, integrating client history, physical examination and diagnostic findings to inform individualised rehabilitation strategies. Case insights demonstrate how occupational therapy and multidisciplinary teamwork can support ongoing adaptation, independence and participation as abilities and needs change.

The course also introduces voice and message banking for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including their differences and the technologies available to preserve a person’s voice or meaningful messages for future use. Psychosocial considerations surrounding assistive technology—including emotional responses, identity and stigma—are examined alongside person-centred strategies that support informed decision-making, engagement and meaningful use.
