Course Info
Build a practical, repeatable approach to assessment and therapy planning for people living with neurological conditions. Designed for early-career clinicians, this course supports the development of clinical reasoning beyond checklists and textbook presentations.
Explore the assessment of motor control, tone, sensation, balance, gait, upper limb function, and cognitive and perceptual factors. Learn how to interpret findings, develop a clear problem list and understand how diagnosis may inform each person’s individual presentation without defining it.
Apply these principles to multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury. The course also examines person-centred goal setting, treatment prioritisation and program progression, providing a flexible framework to support thoughtful decision-making across a range of neurological rehabilitation settings.
