This module focuses on the safe and ethical implementation of restricted practices, emphasizing the importance of thorough data collection, staff training, and ongoing monitoring. Participants will learn how to systematically document the use of restricted practices, ensuring that all instances are recorded accurately and in line with legal requirements. The module also covers the critical role of staff training in ensuring that restricted practices are applied in the least restrictive and safest manner possible. Emphasis will be placed on ensuring staff are well-equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to implement these practices while maintaining respect for the individual’s dignity and rights.
