Will Baker is a Behaviour Support practitioner with extensive experience supporting children in Out-of-Home Residential Care and working within forensic disability settings.

Will understands the unique challenges practitioners and support teams may encounter in residential care environments. Will’s approach focuses on helping practitioners better understand the people they support and translate that understanding into practical strategies that promote meaningful progress towards individual goals.

A key part of Will’s work involves empowering support teams to collaborate effectively. Will supports practitioners to create greater clarity and consistency across teams so that everyone involved can work towards shared outcomes for the individual.

Will’s experience in forensic disability also gives Will valuable insight into supporting complex participants where questions of risk, rights and autonomy require careful consideration. Through mentoring, Will helps practitioners reflect on how risk can be understood and managed while continuing to respect the individual’s voice, choices and right to participate in decisions about their life.

Will offers practical, experience-based mentoring tailored to the realities of Behaviour Support and residential care. Will’s goal is to help practitioners strengthen their reasoning, build confidence and develop approaches that are practical for support teams and meaningful for the people they support.
