Occupational Therapy | New Graduate Mentoring
Elise Smeets is Head of Clinical Development for New Graduates at Allied Health Warrior, where she is passionate about supporting early-career occupational therapists as they transition from university into confident, capable clinicians. She believes the first years of practice are fundamental in shaping professional confidence and clinical competence, and is committed to helping new graduates develop the skills they need to succeed.
With more than 15 years of experience across adult practice, aged care, and home modifications, Elise brings a practical, evidence-based perspective to occupational therapy. Her broad clinical experience enables her to mentor therapists through real-world challenges while strengthening their clinical reasoning, professional judgement, and decision-making skills.
Elise is passionate about creating supportive learning experiences that encourage reflection, confidence, and continuous professional growth. Through structured mentoring and practical education, she helps clinicians build strong foundations for long-term success and meaningful careers in occupational therapy.
